What to make of this person?

So there's this girl i kinda think is cute. But anyways, I havent really spoken much to her since cl has started this semester cuz we sit in different parts of the room. But on monday me and her were paired up to work on some discussion questions and we finished those and i tried chit chatting with her but it didnt seem like she was interested or watever cuz she kinda gave me just short quick answers tho we got onto the subject FDA food regs and she was kinda interested in talkin about that but that didnt last long. But then today I was sittin by myself cuz the ppl i normally sit with werent there and so my teacher was like why dont u join the rest of the group and then she (the girl from monday) was like "yeah come sit over here" so i got up and sat over there. But my q is this..why would she want me to come ovr there and sit with her if she didnt seem to interested in me on monday?
