Throbbing pain in the base of my skull?

So lately I have been getting headaches that I have put down to blocked sinuses and they since went away, then yesterday I got a throbbing pain on the right side of the base of my skull, not my neck, my skull, its almost like a severe punch to my head but very pinpointed like I got stabbed in the head with a screwdriver? Then got it again today, its not a normal headache as it comes very severe and suddenly then vanishes within a few seconds, I havent strained my neck or head in any way, nor have I hit it, and I noticed it happens when I move a certain way or do something strenuous? I would understand if I pulled a muscle but I havent?! I was just paranoid it had something to do with those horrible headaches I had a while ago, which were almost mirganes?! But they werent at my skull base, and the pain sometimes goes away when I very intensily mage it. Now Im **** broke and cant afford going doctor, but if u think Im dying I might have to go.
