If i have sky plus disconnected can i use the dish and cable and plug a freeview box from argos into it?

im sick to death of sky, have been with them for 10 years with no problems untill we had sky + installed and since have had nothing but problems. we never had an areal put up as we always had sky so my question is can we use the dish for freeview?
