How do you attach IKEA "PATRULL" corner bumpers?

I just bought some of these IKEA "PATRULL" corner bumpers to cover the sharp edges on some furniture in our house. As usual, the instruction sheet is confusing. The adhesive strips that are included are only one-sided. So how in the world am I supposed use those to stick the bumper onto the furniture corner?
