Do you think that in some parts of the world adultery can be considered worse than murder?

In some of these "traditional" societies murder is hardly a crime at all, especially if the murderers are men, and being male dominated societies I'm in no doubt that adultery by women is considered far worse than murder, after all some medieval man has had his ego deflated, what can be worse than that? Men are being reminded that they aren't really as superior as they like to think they are, and that will not be tolerated.
